LaVerne stepped up to the plate and arranged for hosting of the Jim Carroll Website, keeping it alive from 1997-2002, when it would otherwise have died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LaVerne has been a fan of Jim’s since 1980 when the album Catholic Boy<\/em> was released. He says, “I was and still am mainly a collector of the Jim Carroll Band’s music. I was never able to see the JCB, but I did get to watch Jim perform at four separate readings. I found the original Jim Carroll Website when looking for a very hard to find copy of a JCB bootleg, Live Dreams<\/em><\/a>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rare item that connected LaVerne with what would become CatholicBoy.com . . . became LaVerne’s unique section on the website, about rare Jim Carroll Band Recordings<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
